first day high

as a mom, it's quite exciting to send off your kids to school. most especially on their first day of school. but with the current health situation, it seems that keeping them at home is the next best option. not that i don't trust the school in making sure that the kids don't get sick. it's the other parents i'm worried about and how they value hygiene for their kids.

now i have to make sure that my kids have extra sets of alcohol and that they have an extra pair of handkechief in their pockets. and thank god at this early, they know how to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze and stay away from kids that have cough. oc mom much, yes i am.

so much for the excitement in seeing them off tomorrow. now i'm all worried about them being in school for 2 whole hours starting tomorrow.

and yes, even keon will get to experience what school feels like tomorrow. wish me luck!

preschool is fun - kyle / bumming at home is fun - keon

indeed it is my boy. indeed.

ok, time to wipe those tears now.

now our home is your kingdom while kuya is away. enjoy it while it lasts. =)

but please the two of you, don't grow up too fast.

i miss having babies at home :(

this one doesn't deserve a title. a quick rant.

i'm quite pissed off at kyle's service, for the past 2 days they have been consistent in picking kyle up past 730am and his class starts at 8.

when in fact aishi spoke with the owner, he was assured that the scheduled time for pick up is around 7am.

and in the 2 days they were late, i called the owner up and all i got was the same reply: "mam papunta na po diyan. kanina pa po nakaalis". and to think they're also a service for kids studying in don bosco. and for a fact i know, (but i stand corrected here) that their classes start at 7 (that's for the flag ceremony etc..)

i'm just pissed really. petty perhaps but it still pisses me off.

i just hate it when people commit a certain time but never fulfills that promise.

i may be gulity of this sometimes, but i do have the decency to inform the person that i'll be arriving late if certain situations cannot be avoided.

is it that hard to tell someone that you're running late?

and yeah, even kyle is getting pissed off. mana talaga sa nanay. hehe i just hope this won't happen again or else, the whole morning routine will get ruined.

ok moving on...

growing by the day

kyle will officially start school on monday. and i'm the one having the jitters and anxiety.

yeah so he isn't potty trained yet, but we're getting there. found a sure ball way for him to pee. he has been diaper-less for a good week. a lot of leaky accidents, but at least he knows how to show signs that he wants to pee. i don't rush him for fear of him repressing it. one day at a time he's learning that it's ikcy when his pee trickles down his legs and his crocs has to be washed everytime. my little boy is a bit of a hypochondriac - monk is that you? =)

little keon's vocabulary's growing by the day. new trick he learned, he now knows how to kiss me and with sound! love it to bits! he's now running, and i noticed that he prefers running to walking. quite a steady balance already but still gives us the usual nerves when he runs around the house.

which reminds me, i should post more pics of the kids.

and i'm counting the days to kyle's first day in school! this is going to be exciting!! can't wait! [i may go on leave, and not earn a single penny that day, but nothing beats being there for your child's first day]watch out for pics to be uploaded in multiply =)

mommy, the worrywart

it's 850 here in the office and kyle's in school. keon's at home most likely still sleeping.

and i'm worried on how kyle's doing in school right this moment. a lot of questions have been bothering me on the way to the office. actually the moment i stepped out of the school gates:

did he throw a tantrum already? did he fight over a toy with a classmate? did he join the morning song and prayer? will he participate in class? will he finally talk to his classmates?

funny thing on the way to school. kyle was eating his hello panda snack. in front of him was his classmate Ozmo (don't ask me why). i told him to give him some, he might be hungry. he obliged, but the funny thing was, he gave a piece to Ozmo's mom not directly to Ozmo. maybe he was indirectly asking his mom if it was ok to give Ozmo a piece of it. or maybe it was a ploy to play with Ozmo's thomas. he was actually holding the same thomas the tank toy kyle has at home. haha

i just love saying that kid's name: OZMO...

another day and i'm going to think about my kids.

and for sure i'll be more paranoid when keon starts going to school too. worrywart times 2. bah.

UPDATE:

just got word from kyle's nanny that kyle had so much fun at school. along with the usual distractions from the given activities. but i have faith in his teacher. so tomorrow will be another day, this time, minus ate aisa in the classroom with kyle. oh, and i heard he made a new friend today. one step at a time! good job kyle!!

now i'm off to look for kiddie aprons. cooking class for kyle tomorrow! yey!

the only dilemma: they want the kids to bring their family pictures. uhm... we don't have that yet! haha!! sad :(

kyle's first day in summer school

playing with the toys =)

~*~

Today was kyle’s first day in summer school. And he was up for a lot of changes. One, he has to wake up at 630 for his 8-10 class. His service would pick him up at around 715 to 730. today wasn’t a problem. Minus the crying because he wasn’t in the mood to take a bath. But a little coaxing and sacrificing Thomas went on without a hitch. (poor Thomas though, he won’t run on batteries anymore since he got all wet)

Two, on the way to school he just drank his milk. Asking where’s the school. Then upon arriving, there were some kids already, kyle wasn’t too shy to enter the classroom. He was happy to wear his name tag and play with the blocks. His teacher was very attentive to each student making sure they would be comfy as much as possible. At first I was too shy to bring out my camera do document kyle’s first day, but within moments, every parent present was carrying a camera and one even had a video camera. How’s that for stage parents?

But the fun didn’t stop there. Kyle was quite clingy and would follow me where I went. I wanted to see if he can handle himself independently but I guess he isn’t that ready yet. In the coming days or weeks I guess. It was a first day so can’t blame my little boy for being a bit shocked.

There was this one incident during story time where kyle didn’t listen to the story. He saw this toy/mat that he wanted to play with. Since he can’t reach it, he started to cry. Which was quite embarrassing for me. But teacher was quite understanding. So I had to bring kyle out for a while to calm him down and explain to him that it’s story time and he has to listen to the story.

Good thing that the session lasted for an hour. I’m hoping tomorrow he would last 2 hours along with snack time. =) have to tell kyle’s nanny that once kyle goes inside the classroom, she won’t show herself so that he won’t get clingy and look for me or his nanny. And cross our fingers everything goes well.

Oh, and he got two star stamps on his hands. It was supposed to be one star each student but, he really fell in line and went up to his teacher to ask for another star stamp. How’s that for assertive? Haha.

This is such a proud mommy moment. And in that one hour I totally forgot I was down with the flu.

Good job kyle!!
